Oxytocin levels increase during Reset® (Takahashi, 2019)
A recent study in Japan (Takahashi, 2019) found that oxytocin levels increase during Reset®. Known as the ’Love Hormone' for the role it plays in relationships, sexual activity and human bonding, oxytocin also supports our mental health and well-being, and has been shown to boost empathy, trust and loyalty, reduce fear, anxiety and depression, and erase traumatic memory. Many mental illnesses, social and relationship issues, and atypical parenting behaviors have been linked to abnormal oxytocin levels (Jobst, A. et al, 2016). Low levels of oxytocin have been linked to autistic spectrum disorders (ASD), depression and addiction (Husarova, V. M et al, 2016), while high levels of oxytocin have been linked to fewer depressive symptoms and stronger social ties. The current study measured salivary oxytocin levels before and after a Reset® session by the Japan Preventive Medicine Institute, and found that 71% of participants (n=14) showed significant increases in oxytocin after Reset® (p<0.05). Interestingly, oxytocin levels were higher among people who had been using Reset® long-term, and higher still among the Certified Reset® Practitioners in the group. People who do Reset® report happier relationships, better teamwork, and reduced anxiety and depression (see below). The current study offers hormonal evidence that oxytocin levels increase during Reset®, which may explain some of these changes. Oxytocin nasal sprays are now available in some countries, but they affect different people in different ways, and can have serious side-effects. The current study suggests that Reset® may be a natural alternative, and a way to increase oxytocin levels that remains effective over time.

Conclusions ● The data shows that even one Reset® session leads to significant improvements in mental and physical state, both for people who report feelings and emotions in the 'normal' range before Reset®, and for people who report high levels of negative feelings/emotions or low levels of postitive feelings/emotions before Reset®. Similar benefits were experienced across cultures (Japan/Germany) and by a range of people, including the general public, people visiting a doctor for health concerns, clients being treated for mental health issues, and people attending company trainings. The fact that the 4 sets of data were gathered from Reset® sessions held by 4 different Reset® Practitioners yet yielded similar results, suggests that: ① Reset® is a reliable method that ② isn't overly influenced by individual differences in the people who teach it, and that ➂ Reset® can be safely and effectively taught BY a range of people TO a range of people.
Physical benefits of long-term Reset® - (Posture, Alignment, Muscular Tension)
This data shows how long-term use of Reset® can improve posture, physical alignment and muscle tone, and reduce physical tension. The data was gathered during 2 consecutive health assessments of a 40-year old senior-care manager in Japan, using the Yugamiru Posture Assessment System (which detects muscle tone and physical alignment via a system of cameras and sensors placed on the body). The assessments took place a year apart, and 'M' reported no lifestyle changes in between, other than the use of Reset®. The 1st assessment showed a strong twist in her pelvis and upper body, and misalignment of her pelvis, upper body, head, and neck (which was twisted at birth). M started using Reset® as a daily practice 4 months before the 2nd assessment. Having used Reset® daily for 4 months, the 2nd assessment found reductions in pelvic and upper body twist and improved alignment of her pelvis, upper-body and neck, all of which yielded perfect alignment scores. The 2nd assessment also found reduced muscle tension in her neck, shoulder, back and thighs, and improved muscle tone in her neck, stomach and legs. The 1st assessment resulted in an overall score of 51/100, indicating ‘A slightly unbalanced body’. The 2nd assessment resulted in an overall score of 76/100, indicating ‘A balanced body with good posture’. At the 1st assessment, M said: ‘As a care worker, fatigue often catches up with me. There are times that I don’t want to go to work’. After the 2nd assessment, she said: ‘Thanks to Reset®, my physical condition is much better. I find it easier to control my emotions too’. M also lost 3kgs during the first 4 months of using Reset®, bringing her bodyweight to within the normal range for her height.
