In 2011, in response to Japan's earthquake and tsunami, we formed an NPO to care for those most affected. In 2016, having taught self-care to over 10,000 people, we formed the Japan
Preventive Medicine Institute, and developed Reset® - a self-care method that not only helps people experiencing stress or trauma, but that helps
people experience greater Wellness and Quality of Life. In our first 5 years, we focused on teaching self-care to those most affected by the tsunami, and on training therapists all over Japan so
they could teach self-care in the communities to which people had been displaced. As our team of therapists expands, we are now able to share Reset® more widely and support other people,
professions, and communities who could benefit from added resilience and self-care skills. This page features some of the projects, outreach, and presentations that JPMI and the Reset® Therapist
team have been involved with over the last few years, many of which are ongoing.
* Reset® is registered in Japan as a medical approach to physical and mental health (Reg#: 5932352)
